Abdallah Garib, joined BLME in November 2009 as Assistant Director, Private Banking. Prior to this he was at Alpari (UK) where he performed the senior compliance function structuring Sharia'a compliant FX structures as well as project managing the launch of Alpari Middle East based in UAE. Prior to this he was head of private banking at Qatar National Bank in London managing a sizeable portfolio of Qatari clients. He has also worked for Islamic Bank of Britain where he started the private banking department of the bank managing clients from the UK and the Middle East, as well as for Barclays bank in the retail, premium divisions.
Muriel Simon
Muriel Simon joined BLME Private Banking from UBS London, she is a Private Banker with a strong focus on UK resident non-domiciled HNW clients, advising on Investments, Credit and Wealth structuring solutions. Her previous experience includes Barclays Wealth, looking after International HNW clients and JPMorgan Investment Bank, dealing with French Institutions providing FX derivatives structures.
Hemant Mistry

Hemant Mistry joined BLME in August 2011 as a is a private banker. He has worked in the Gulf for over 9 years having been based in Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Hemant has worked as a Private Banker with Ahli United Bank, American Express Private Bank and Standard Chartered Bank where he advised clients on investments, fiduciary structures and global equities and bonds. He has extensive experience in the property sector, including funds, lending and acquisition.
Waleed Al Omar
Director MENA Regions
Waleed re-joined BLME in July 2011. He has more than 20 years' experience in finance, operations, and integration of technology into business models. Waleed is experienced in the management of start up businesses, including Rekaz Systems, Boubyan Bank where was instrumental in setting up BLME, and Frontier Advisors. From 2006-2009 he served as a Non-Executive Director of BLME and is currently a Member of the General Partner Board of the Luxembourg based BLME Umbrella Fund. He was also a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of the Bahrain based First Investment Bank. Previously, Waleed worked as the Executive Manager of Direct Investments at Boubyan Bank. During his career, he was COO at Rekaz Systems, Operations Manager at Kuwait Computer Company (Hasibat), and held various roles at IBM. He holds a B.Sc. Electrical Engineering from University of The Pacific – California, and a Masters in Finance from London Business School, United Kingdom.
