Investment Request

I/We offer to invest in a Premier Deposit with Bank of London and The Middle East plc’s (”BLME”) Premier Deposit Account for the amount below.


Deposit Funds

A BLME Transfer Account must be opened by providing a UK cheque drawn on your name or via direct account transfer from an account in your name. We will advise you of your Transfer Account details once the account is opened in order to allow you to remit your funds.


According to the method chosen the following instructions are applicable. Please indicate your initial method of deposit by selecting the relevant option below.

- Opening cheques should be drawn on and made payable to the Applicant(s).

- You can make the initial deposit through the Bankers Automated Clearing Services (BACS), the Clearing House Automated Payment System (CHAPS) or Faster Payment Service (FP). We will advise you of your Transfer Account details as soon as we open the account. You can then arrange for funds to be paid into that account. Please be aware some Banks and Building Societies will restrict the maximum amount of funds you can transfer out of certain accounts in one day.


 We will require your bank details for the purpose of paying your Maturity Proceeds and Profit Instalments. Please provide the information below:

FSCS Eligibility – BLME is required to provide to existing and intending depositors an Information Sheet containing basic information about the protection of your eligible deposits, together with an Exclusions List, setting out the applicable exclusions from eligibility.

A copy of the FSCS Eligibility Information Sheet and Exclusions List will be automatically sent to you on submission of this application form.

Proof of Identification and Address

We require copies of the documents listed below. Please do not send any original documents. However we reserve the right to request all copies of documents sent to us to be certified by an independent body as being true copies of the originals such as a Public Notary, Embassy official or an employee from a regulated institution e.g. banker, lawyer, accountant on behalf of that institution.

This information is required by law and is to help protect our customers from the risks of fraud and to prevent financial crime from occurring.

Please provide proof of identity and proof of residential address for each Applicant listed in the Personal Details Section, and also for the Attorney if applicable.

We require a minimum of TWO documents from the list below:

  • At least ONE document needs to be a proof of identity (as listed below); and
  • At least ONE document needs to be a proof of residential address (as listed below).

Please note: we only require copies of these documents and recommend that all documents are sent by recorded delivery/courier. Please ensure that sufficient postage is used for the size and weight of envelope to avoid any delays. Please do not send any original documentation unless specifically requested to do so.


Proof of identity – at least ONE of the following documents:


This must be a currently valid and full passport, which has not expired.


This must be a full United Kingdom or European Union photo card driving licence.
A paper driving licence will only be accepted as proof of the Applicant’s address.
A provisional or Northern Ireland driving licence is not acceptable.


Proof of residential address – at least ONE of the following documents:


The statement should:
(a) be addressed to the Applicant;
(b) contain their current residential address;
(c) show activity (transactions); and
(d) be dated within the last three months.


(such as electricity bill, gas bill or landline telephone bill - a mobile telephone bill is not acceptable).
The utility bill should:
(a) be addressed to the Applicant;
(b) contain their current residential address;
(c) show activity (transactions); and
(d) be dated within the last three months.

Agreement and Declaration
  1. The agreement between BLME and me/us will be made up of the BLME Deposit Investment Terms , BLME Terms and Conditions and the Website Terms and Conditions of Use, each as amended from time to time, and any Confirmation and information on charges and profit. For my/our own benefit and protection I/we have read all the documents setting out the agreement carefully before signing this section. Where I/we do not understand any point, I/we will ask for information.
  2. By signing this application form, I/We accept and declare that (a) I/We wish BLME to provide me/us with the Premier Deposit Account and accept our Premier Deposit on the terms of the agreement and open the relevant accounts in my/our name; (b) I/We have due capacity and authority to enter into this agreement; (c) where we are applying in joint names each of us consents to our information being provided by our joint applicant and declare that each of us is entitled to provide information about our joint application; (d) any details that I/We have supplied are true and correct and that I/We have not withheld any material fact; (e) BLME may (i) make and perform credit reference, identity, electoral register, fraud, money laundering, and other enquiries and searches in respect of me/us; (ii) disclose my/our full account information to credit reference agencies, fraud prevention agencies and insurance companies (credit reference agencies will maintain a record of BLME's searches and the information that BLME provide them. If I/We give BLME false or inaccurate information, or BLME suspect fraud, BLME will record this with fraud prevention agencies. Such records and information may then be used by BLME and third parties to prevent fraud, and may be taken into account when assessing my/our application) and (iii) I/We acknowledge that HMRC and other international tax authorities have the power to instruct BLME to release money in my/our Premier Deposit Account, Transfer Account or any other account to them in order to recover debts or alleged debts owed to HMRC and/or other international tax authorities.
  3. I/We agree that, unless indicated otherwise on this form, BLME are authorised to send me/us information about selected events, products and services from time to time provided by BLME or BLME's affiliates or entities managed or promoted by BLME or BLME's affiliates.
  4. I/We understand that the Expected Profit shall be determined by reference to the expected profit rates on the Business Day BLME receives the Deposit Amount in the Premier Deposit Account.
  5. I/We authorise my/our Transfer Account or current account to be debited with the Deposit Amount to be invested in a Premier Deposit. This Investment Request and each Premier Deposit is subject to BLME Deposit Investment Terms as amended from time to time and capitalised words used in this Application Form shall have the meanings set out therein or in the BLME Terms and Conditions.
